QHSE Officer

We're looking for a QHSE Officer to help us remain compliant

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 DoE

As QHSE Officer, you will support the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental functions by maintaining existing certifications and accreditations (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), ensuring compliance with internal procedures and external standards, and assisting with audits and documentation control. This is a junior-level role supporting the QHSE Manager.

Main Duties

  • Assist with maintaining and enhancing the Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
  • Support readiness for internal and external audits, including maintaining audit-ready documentation and addressing findings under supervision
  • Help deliver QHSE training and toolbox talks to staff and sub-contractors
  • Assist in investigating incidents, near misses, and non-conformities, including supporting root cause analysis and tracking corrective actions
  • Support the storage and control of QHSE documents, including RAMS, COSHH assessments, and fire risk assessments
  • Help manage communication channels and QHSE-related software systems
  • Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the business and support communication with clients, contractors, and accreditation bodies
  • Contribute to environmental initiatives and support compliance with sustainability strategies

Key Skills & Requirements

  • 1 - 3 years' experience in a compliance, administrative, or operational support role, ideally within a regulated or consultancy-based environment
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards
  • Basic understanding of audit processes and document control systems
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • IT literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office and QHSE platforms
